With the weather so hot and humid these days, the electricity bills — no thanks to all the air-conditioning you’ve used — seems to be soaring as well. It’s going to be even worse as the electricity tariffs have increased due to higher energy costs.

So, how about keeping cool with some horror films or thrillers that have recently been listed on Disney+? Here are four Asian shows to send some chills down your spine.

1. Legally Declared Dead (2019)

Insurance agent Shun is called to visit Tak and Ling’s home to follow up on a life insurance policy. When he goes into the bathroom, he is shocked to see their son’s corpse hanging above him. When he sees Tak’s cold, emotionless response to the child’s death, Shun, a righteous and kindhearted man dedicated to his job, begins to suspect that Tak and Ling may have murdered their son for the insurance money.

2. Fatal Visit (2020)

Yanny goes to San Jose to visit Ling, an old friend she hasn't seen in years. Ling and her husband Tang seem to lead an ideal, carefree existence. But during the short span of five days, Yanny uncovers the truth hidden behind the façade as she discovers the unspeakable secrets that propel all three down a fatal path shattering their American dreams and imperilling their lives.

3. Stigmatised Properties (2020)

Yamame Yamano, an unsuccessful comedian, starts to live in a stigmatised property when his senior tells him that doing so could get him on TV. Consequently, he moves into a room where a murder took place. When they view the film taped at the first property where he stayed, they see a mysterious white object and notice that the audio is distorted.

4. Tomodachi Game (2022)

Yuuichi Katagiri saves up enough money to join his friends on a school trip. But when the gathered money mysteriously goes missing, suspicion falls on two of Yuuichi's friends: Shiho Sawaragi and Makoto Shibe. A few days later, Yuuichi and his friends are tricked to a place to play a "friendship game," a series of games that will test the strength of their bond and trust in each other.
