Stars elated over Eric Tsang's TVB appointment
22 Jan – Celebrities rejoiced over the news that respected senior Eric Tsang will be managing TVB's variety and infotainment content starting this month.
As reported on Mingpao, following news that the actor-producer has been appointed as the new Deputy General Manager and Special Advisor to the Executive Committee, stars like Amigo Choi, Steven Ma, Chin Ka Lok and Liza Wang recently expressed their support for the decision made by the company.
Chin Ka Lok, who has worked with Eric in various entertainment programmes, stated, "I have heard of the news and congratulated him. If he asked to help with the shows, there would be no problem on my part."
Steven Ma expressed, "Eric is a powerhouse in the TV industry who has given a lot of contributions. I hope that he will produce more good shows and continue to carry on the TVB banner in years to come. TVB will be celebrating its 55th anniversary next year, so I hope there will be something new."
Amigo enthused, "I am happy! The last time I worked with the master was on "Tung Wah Charity Show" a few years ago. I believe that Eric will bring us a lot of new entertainment and good shows in the future. I am looking forward to it!"
As for Liza Wang, the veteran actress stated that appointing Eric was a very good decision, adding, "He knows the strengths and weaknesses of the artistes. This is a good choice."
