SINGAPORE — The Star Wars Identities exhibition will be housed at Singapore’s ArtScience Museum from 30 January to 13 June 2021, marking the final stop of its global tour that has spanned several years.

Developed and produced by Montreal’s X3 Productions in collaboration with Lucasfilm, the exhibition presents close to 200 original items from the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art archive. The exclusive showcase includes authentic props, models, costumes, and artwork from the original Star Wars films.

The exhibition aims to bring visitors on a customised, interactive identity quest to gain new insights on Star Wars characters while discovering their own identities at the end of the quest, aimed at answering the question: What forces shape you?

Visitors are invited to create an original Star Wars character based on themselves, temporarily stored in an RFID bracelet, by interacting with stations throughout the exhibit. For example, you can choose your race from among Star Wars races such as Wookiees, Ewoks and Mon Calamaris.

Here is a look at the Star Wars Identities exhibition in London in 2016:

George Lucas, creator of Star Wars, said, “Through the exploration of the characters and worlds of Star Wars, this interactive exhibition connects us with themes that can resonate with our own sense of self, familial identity and shared experience. In Singapore, the exhibition will engage that connection… fantasy meets reality, with a dash of reflection and adventure.”

The collection draws from the six films in the first two Star Wars trilogies; the first film in the most recent trilogy, The Force Awakens; as well as the Clone Wars animated series.

Fan favourites such as Darth Vader, R2-D2, C-3PO, BB-8, Yoda, Chewbacca, Boba Fett, and the Millennium Falcon will be on display.

Tickets will be available for purchase from 15 January at Marina Bay Sands’ box offices and website.
