SINGAPORE — StarHub is calling for entries for Singapore’s first talent search for social media influencers that cuts across multiple platforms like TV, social media, radio and outdoor, that seeks to discover rising new talents and nurture the next generation of social media personalities.

Named “I Can Be An Influencer 2019, the talent search contest offers attractive prizes worth $15,000 to be won. On top of that, one participant from the top 10 entries will be awarded a three-year endorsement contract worth $100,000 by Gain City, the presenter of the inaugural contest.

Shortlisted participants will be tasked to create a 30-second video based on one of five categories, namely: beauty; food and drinks; entertainment; travel; and technology. The group will then be whittled down to 10 finalists based on the engagement level of their entries on various social media platforms.

Taking their content creation skills to another level, the top 10 finalists will then vie for the top three places by creating creative brand content to market selected products “live” at the Grand Finals on 10 November 2019.

In addition to the competition rounds, the shortlisted participants will get a chance to experience mentorship and advice from veterans from different sectors of the industry such as Taiwanese make-up guru, Kelvin, and Dee Kosh, a local popular social media influencer and online content creator.
