Spielberg's The BFG Gets A Giant New Trailer

Between Jon Favreau’s ‘Jungle Book’ and Steven Spielberg’s 'The BFG’, it’s looking like a vintage year for classic literature on the big screen.

The latter is still a few months from release, but to tide us over Disney has released the first full-length trailer.

Roald Dahl’s classic story follows a young orphan called Sophie, who befriends a friendly giant as they embark on an adventure to save the human world.

The trailer offers up our first proper look at Oscar-winner Mark Rylance’s Big Friendly Giant, a better look at newcomer Ruby Barnhill as Sophie and a glimpse at the stunning visuals the film has to offer.

There’s also a glimpse at some of the film’s villains in the final shot - including those voiced by comedians Bill Hader and Jemaine Clement.

Spielberg’s follow-up to old school spy thriller 'Bridge of Spies’ also stars Rebecca Hall and Penelope Wilton. It is set to be released in July.
