Fall is fully here, so we’re ready to put away our soft floral and sweet perfumes. Autumn is altogether a calmer and cooler time, and so we want a warm, cozy scent to match our mood.

And while you may already have your tried and true perfume, consider spicing up your signature fragrance with something woodsy, earthy, and musky. Nothing beats a beauty splurge, and right now is the perfect time to experiment with something new in celebration of the fall season.

Without further adieu, here are a few woody, earthy, and warm scents to add to your vanity.

1. Elizabeth and James Nirvana Bourbon, $85

This Elizabeth and James perfume is comprised only of three notes: vanilla bourbon, tuberose, and oak. It smells like a warm evening by the fire with an Old Fashioned cocktail. What more could you ask for?

2. Victor and Rolf Spicebomb, $92

It smells sharp and spicy, but once it settles down Spicebomb becomes woodsier and even slightly creamy. It’s a fabulous unisex scent.

This perfume fuses tonka bean, vanilla, cocoa, dry fruit accords, and sweet wood sap for a deep, rich scent that is sure to turn heads.

5. Etat Libre D’Orange in Jasmine Et Cigarette, $90

This scent was actually inspired by the old movie studio days and the women who ruled the silver screen back then. It’s seductive and elusive and will make you want to watch your favorite black and white film.

6. Atelier Cologne’s Tobacco Nuit, $130

This perfume has a warmer, smokier wood aroma. It’s understatedly seductive and would be equally as intoxicating on a man or woman.

7. Nest White Sandalwood, $72

This fragrance is a true original, thanks to its combination of White Indian sandalwood, creamy almond and white musk. And it was actually inspired by Mary Delany, an 18th Century British artist.

8. Comme Des Garcons Amazingreen, $131

Amazingreen is buzzy and bright and definitely fresher than the other perfumes on this list; but it’s still musky and woodsy, like a crisp fall morning.
