It’s 2016, not 2006, but Spencer Pratt somehow still manages to keep his name in the headlines, whether it’s weighing in on Hiddleswift or reminiscing about his days as the villain of The Hills.

The How to Be Famous author’s latest ploy is calling out popular model Gigi Hadid. Pratt, who debuted on The Hills a decade ago, claimed Wednesday in a Twitter post that Hadid dissed him. It was done in a way that must be seen as particularly cruel if you’re Pratt.

The 32-year-old then claimed that he gave Hadid herself a break back in the day. “Guess she forgot I shot her reality show pilot before she was famous,” he tweeted.

This would have been before The Hills, when Pratt was a producer. His most famous work was on The Princes of Malibu, a Fox show that ran for all of six episodes in 2005. It focused on Pratt’s pal Brody Jenner and his brother, Brandon, who everyone by now knows are the sons of Caitlyn Jenner and Linda Thompson. At the time, Thompson was married to record producer David Foster, who was also Hadid’s stepfather for a few years. Confusing, right? Anyway, Pratt and Hadid obviously at least had mutual acquaintances.

On Thursday, Pratt took his claims further when he posted what looked like a throwback snapshot of Hadid with his wife, Heidi Montag, “on set.”

Hadid has simply ignored Pratt — remember, she’s not seeing his tweets anyway — but the 21-year-old, who has appeared occasionally on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills with her mother, Yolanda Hadid, explained her stance on reality shows in a 2014 interview, when asked if she’d ever want to do a show of her own.

“I’m not interested in reality TV,” she told The Daily Front Row. “I want to focus on modeling and get away from all that. I want to be known as a model, not a reality star."

Hadid is doing just fine on that front. On Sunday, she hosted the 2016 iHeartRadio Much Music Video Awards. She’s been named a face of Maybelline and has walked runways for Chanel, Versace, and other high-end clients, too. She also had 19.3 million Instagram followers at last count.

So, nice work, Spencer!
