From Cosmopolitan

  • Chris Harrison isn’t allowed to host The Bachelorette for two weeks because he dropped off his son at college.

  • JoJo Fletcher, the star of The Bachelorette season 12, will fill in for Chris.

As if Clare Crawley’s season of The Bachelorette couldn’t get any more dramatic, we have even more bombshells that rival Tayshia Adams stepping in to take Clare’s place after falling in love with contestant Dale Moss. Now, Chris Harrison has gotten the boot from ABC’s production team for the next two weeks...thanks to him choosing to drop off his son at college.

According to Us Weekly, Chris can’t return to California’s La Quinta Resort & Club to film the show and was informed he needs to isolate himself before going back to work. As a result, ABC reportedly brought in JoJo Fletcher—season 12 star of The Bachelorette—to take his place for two whole weeks.

“The moment he got back, Chris was told he could not set foot back on the set until he went through another 14-day quarantine,” an insider explained to the outlet. “The show’s contestants and crew all had to quarantine on the property for 14 days prior to the camera’s rolling. But it didn’t dawn on Chris he’d have to do it all over again if he simply left to take his kid to college.”

For the record, Chris pretty much ratted himself out! He went all Super Sentimental Dad™ on his Instagram yesterday and shared that he personally saw his kid off to school.

“Just like that he’s gone. Thought dropping the big man off at college @texaschristianuniversity today was going to crush me but all I could feel is pride and excitement,” Chris wrote. “Especially now, so grateful that they have this opportunity. Now go take on the world and have the time of your life, my boy.”

Literally cannot wait for curveball number 4,826,735 from this Bachelorette season!
