SNL's Leslie Jones Riffs on Getting Hacked in Weekend Update Segment

Leslie Jones on Saturday took to SNL‘s Weekend Update desk to address her terrible, horrible, no good, very bad summer.

During a timely monologue on cyber security, Jones touched on her own trouble with computer hackers. As you’ll recall, the Ghostbusters scene stealer was the victim of non-stop Twitter harassment for her part in this summer’s all-female reboot, and later found some very personal photos stolen from her phone and uploaded to her official website.

In addressing those responsible, Jones said that stealing nude photos of her is no big deal, and if anybody really wanted hers, all they had to do was “just ask.” She also suggested that those capable of such heinous cyber crimes should put their impressive computer skills to better use.

“[I]f I was good at computers, I wouldn’t waste it trolling on people,” she said. “I would do something useful, like renew my driver’s license from home. I would hack into Tinder and delete all those other girls’ profiles so no matter where you swipe, you get me.”

In the end, Jones seemed unfazed by the recent hack, telling viewers, “At a certain point you stop being embarrassed and start being you, and I have been me for 49 years. The only person who can hack me is me, and my firewall is a crazy bitch with a shovel.”

What did you think of Jones’ Weekend Update monologue? Did she go too easy on those who violated her privacy and nearly ran her off social media?
