Siti Sarah's brother regrets being anti-vaccine in the past

1 Oct – Ahmad Firdous, the brother of late singer Siti Sarah Raissuddin, recently expressed regrets over previously being anti-vaccine.

In a video that he shared on Facebook recently, the 40 year-old, who was admitted to the ICU following breathing difficulties back in August, stated that he has gained a lot of experience and lessons from his recovery.

"If people accused me of being anti-vaccine in the past, yes, I was, due to certain reasons. But now I am ready to get vaccinated as an effort to ease our daily activities," he said.

Ahmad Firdous stated that the loss of his sister was also a part of his regrets.

"People said that COVID is real, it really is. I've got it, so it's real. I apologise to all the doctors, nurses, and thank them for saving my life. I really do respect the frontliners. After getting it, you do feel bad for spreading lies when they are the ones who would help us," he said.

Siti Sarah passed away on 9 August at the Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, a few days after being rushed for medical treatment following a decrease in her oxygen from COVID-19. The singer was able to give birth to her son Ayash Affan prior to her passing.
