Siti Nurhaliza warns fans of fake social media accounts that have been using her name and images
27 Jan – Malaysian songstress Datuk Sri Siti Nurhaliza recently warned fans of scammers using her name to make money off and deceive her followers.
On 26 January, the singer shared several screenshots of social media pages that have used her name to defraud fans, saying that she has decided to share these pages so that her fans, especially those in Indonesia, will not be cheated by these people.
"When I posted about one scammer account, I found out that there are many more that have been using my photos and my name to conduct their own businesses. While I have no issues supporting other people's businesses especially during these hard times, it's wrong for people to use my image to con others," she wrote.
The singer slammed those who do so, and preached that one should always find God's blessings in everything that one does.
Siti stated that everybody should have awareness on topics involving social media and the internet, and that people should not share their personal information to strangers online.
"Please do not be scammed by these people and report all these accounts that have been using my name," she added.
The singer is currently expecting her second child. Her first child, daughter Siti Aafiyah, is three years old.
