He shared the same photograph of the pair back in 2015, after Hardy starred as both identical twins Ronald ‘Ronnie’ Kray and Reginald ‘Reggie’ Kray in the film Legend.
“Tom Hardy’s double-act as the Kray twins in ‘Legend’ is impeccable,” he wrote at the time.
The pair have also worked on the same charity projects in the past, such as a campaign for homeless charity Crisis.
Hardy has not shared any details of his birthday celebrations but it was reported that he was spotted enjoying a meal in a country pub with his family this week.
According to KentOnline, Hardy and his family dined with friends at The White Lion pub in Tenterden.
Duty manager Hannah Page was quoted as saying: "I think he might have been out for some early birthday celebrations because it's his birthday today. He's been seen around Tenterden today as well."
The actor married Wuthering Heights actress Charlotte Riley in 2014 after dating for around five years.
The couple have two children, one born in 2015 and one born in 2018, but are known to be private about their family life.
