Singapore's classic hits get new sound under 'The Great Singapore Replay'

Twenty music acts in Singapore have paired up to produce new renditions of classic hits under "The Great Singapore Replay", an initiative by the National Arts Council.

During a listening party on Tuesday (15 August), five music acts gave a preview of their new renditions for the songs "Roses", originally by Gingerbread, "Circling Square" originally by Humpback Oak and "Siti", originally by Force Vomit.

Gingerbread is a Singapore band from the 80s, Humpback Oak from the 90s as well as Force Vomit, which was formed in 1993.

A total of 10 hits have been chosen to be remade under this music project, which is funded by Temasek.

The public can catch the remaining seven covers at The Great Singapore Replay showcase on 9 September at Clarke Quay.
