Apple will be opening its first Southeast-Asian store along Singapore’s Orchard Road at 10 am on 27 May, according to its website. The date was also revealed outside the store on Tuesday night (16 May). The outlet will be open from Monday to Sunday, from 10am to 10pm.

A series of programmes have already been lined up for the venue, including a performance by Singaporean singer Sezairi on its opening day from 5pm to 6.30pm, a street photography workshop by Singaporean photographer Aik Beng Chia on 28 May from 11am to 12.30pm and a movie-making session for kids on 31 May from 10am to 11am. A separate 90-minute photography workshop and a session on how to use the Apple watch will also be taking place on 28 May.

Apple Orchard Road is expected to take up four floors of the building. The store’s operations will be powered by solar energy provided by Singapore-based provider Sunseap Group.

The opening date was revealed just two weeks after the company revealed the name Apple Orchard Road. Here is a video of people taking photos outside the upcoming store.
