This country is where Singaporeans are travel lusting over

SINGAPORE - Vacations have taken a backseat amidst the global turmoils, and it seems that we're cautiously approaching the light at the end of the tunnel.

According to a SafeTravel news release from ICA, the Singapore-Germany travel bubble, or Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL), will start on 8 September 2021. This means Singapore citizens and permanent residents can fly to and from Germany without having to quarantine or serve SHN in either country from that date onwards.

Of course, to travel, there are certain prerequisites to meet.

With the VTL announcement, Tripadvisor shared data that shows the number of Singaporeans searching for German destinations has tripled. We may complain about it not being safe still, but it does not mean that we don't wish for travels to resume.

The top city search for Singaporeans? Munich.

Munich is the third largest city in Germany after Berlin and Hamburg. The city enjoys a high standard and quality of living, similar to Singapore, while being a global centre for art, science, technology, finance, publishing, culture, innovation, education, business, and tourism. With the Bavarian Alps viewable in the distance, it's a picturesque town that packs a modern punch.

If you're considering a vacation there, these are some of the most popular accommodations and attractions that Singaporeans have been searching for based on Tripadvisor's data.
