IKEA fans in Singapore, rejoice! The Swedish furniture giant now allows its customers here to shop for furniture and home decor online.

Besides being able to save the trip to either of its outlets in Alexandra or Tampines, customers in Singapore can also expect to shop from the same variety of items available at its brick-and-mortar stores – and at the same prices, too.

Online delivery is available for purchases above $15. Customers can also pick assembly and installation services via the online store.

There are two delivery options to choose from: Parcel delivery comes with a service fee of $15, while truck delivery comes with a service fee of $70. To qualify for parcel delivery, the total item purchased must weigh less than 24kg and measure no more than 1m in length.

Various fees apply for assembly services, depending on the types of products bought online. For sofas that require only fixing of legs and/or covers, assembly costs $15. For items that require wall drilling, a $5 fee is charge per hole drilled. For all other furniture that requires assembly, customers are required to pay 15 per cent of the product price.

Customers can pay by Visa, Mastercard, American Express and eNETS. No amendments are allowed to parcel deliveries that have been paid for and confirmed. Meanwhile for truck delivery orders, cancellation is allowed only until two days prior.

Online shopping can also be done through the IKEA Store app, which is available for download via Google Play and the Apple App Store.
