Former Singapore Idol finalist Sylvia Anne Ratonel announced on Instagram on Tuesday (6 Feb) that she has given birth to Muhammad Zyhan Ratonel bin Muhammad Sufyan on the day of her announcement at 1.20pm.
Now known as Nur Sylvia Ratonel, the 29-year-old was the first female finalist in the television reality show’s third season in 2009, which was won by Sezairi Sezali. She went on to release her self-titled debut album a year later.
The singer embraced Islam in 2014 and reintroduced herself on her Instagram account with her new name. She tied the knot in 2016 with assistant director Sufyan Saman, who has worked with well-known filmmakers such as Boo Junfeng and Royston Tan.
In her latest post, the new mom said, “Welcome to the world my love.”
