The largest annual motoring event Singapore Motorshow 2019 kickstarts today at Suntec Convention & Exhibition Centre, with over 25 launches and showcases from major car brands. With over 140 vehicles on display from 31 automotive car brands, visitors will be treated to a visual feast for the eyes, with accessories, lifestyle products and services for sale. The motorshow will run from today until January 13.

To purchase the tickets, just pop over to Level 3 of the centre, where you’ll see a ticketing booth. Tickets are priced at SGD6 per entry, and children below 120cm can enjoy free access to the show. With each purchase of a standard admission ticket, visitors can participate in a lucky draw to stand a chance at winning a Subaru Impreza 2.0 i-S 5-door.

At today’s media preview, Toyota is set to launch a ‘mobility for all’ line-up, including the Vellfire Welcab which is specifically designed for drivers and passengers with mobility limitations. Borneo Motors (Singapore) will be bringing in the model and it’s priced at SGD230,988. Among Toyota’s other offerings include the 8th generation Camry, that is available in two variants, the Camry 2.0, priced at SGD141,988 and Camry 2.5, priced at SGD149,988. The fifth-generation RAV4 is available in a single variant, priced at SGD119,988.

Another highlight of the show is Nissan’s electrification strategy with the new Nissan Leaf and Serena e-Power. Nissan aims to commit to a full electrified range in Singapore, a feat considering they’ve introduced their electric vehicle, and will feature an all-electric drivetrain, which has the largest cargo space.

Electric models are taking the spotlight this year, including models from Hyundai Kona Electric, that is a fully-electric subcompact SUV to Nexo, their fuel cell vehicle that is powered by hydrogen. Jaguar is also introducing their I-Pace that is their first all-electric performance SUV, equipped with a 90Wh Lithium-ion battery, where a full charge would provide a range of up to 470km on the WLTP cycle. Land Rover also will debut their first zero emission plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV).
