Singapore actress Quan Yi Fong was admitted to the hospital on Friday night (9 Feb) to undergo an operation on her right leg.

The actress posted photos of herself in a hospital bed on Instagram on Saturday (10 Feb), and thanked her friend and celebrity hairstylist Addy Lee for being there for her during her stay in Parkway East Hospital.

According to local entertainment site Toggle, the operation was a result of an insect bite that took place during a shoot a few days ago. The area became swollen, causing her muscle to weaken.

The 43-year-old Mediacorp actress from Taiwan is currently starring in a Channel 8 infotainment show called “Thrift Hunters”. The mother of young actress Eleanor Lee appeared on her first television programme – “Don’t Worry Be Happy” Season 1 – in 1996.
