Alice Wetterlund, an actress who appeared in US series Silicon Valley has branded working on the show ‘a nightmare’ because of the behaviour of her co-star T.J. Miller.

In a series of tweets, Wetterlund – who played programmer Carla Walton in the show – branded the controversial star ‘a bully’, and also called out her other male co-stars for ‘enabling’ him.

“TJ Miller was a bully and petulant brat and pretty much everyone who had any power on that (almost all male) set, including the male cast members, enabled him and were complicit in his unprofessionalism,” she wrote.

“They can f**k off forever.”

The tweet came after Miller made a number of public appearances on podcast shows in the US.

Comedy fans on Twitter were quick to point out that Miller has been accused of a violent sexual assault, and was arrested for calling in a bizarre bomb threat on an Amtrak train earlier this year.

She added: “I’m pretty open about this, and I don’t know if other women on the show had a different experience than me, but it was kind of a nightmare.”

Asked why she stayed on the show, she continued: “Not a dumb question. One, I needed the job, two, it was my first recurring role and I had no idea it wasn’t always toxic and weird. Now I know!”

Miller exited the show after four seasons in 2017, in what was described as a ‘mutual decision’ between the broadcaster and the Deadpool star.

In response, HBO, which produces the tech scene comedy series, said: “While this is the first time we have heard Alice Wetterlund comment on her experiences on Silicon Valley, we are disappointed to learn of her concerns.

“HBO and the producers have always taken very seriously our responsibility to create a welcoming and congenial environment for everyone who works on the show.”

Miller has long denied the accusation of sexual assault.
