Shweta told the reason in an exclusive chat.

Shweta told us, "I think my Bahu image has been broken a long time back and I don't feel that I have to do any kind of effort to do that. Right now the image I have in the industry is I don't repeat my projects or characters. And I believe in doing new things every time and I don't want that image to be broken ever in my life and I keep working. So my character in Shukla V/S Tripathi will definitely have something different for the audience to see". However, Shweta doesn't wish to play any negative character in future, "I would not like to play any negative character if offered because I have already done a lot of negative roles before and then I have realised that the negative character after a point becomes very boring. Wahi hota rehta hai ki chaal chalte rehte hain aur haarte rehte hain. And you have to give the same kind of expressions and it becomes very monotonous. I tried doing a couple of negative characters but eventually, I got very bored and I am not going to do negative characters again".
