Shirley Yeung doesn't want to become a full-time housewife

24 Oct – Although she is expecting her second child, Shirley Yeung has no plans to stop working or take a break from her showbiz career.

As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who spoke to the media at a ViuTV event recently, stated that she has no intention to become a full-time housewife and will work as usual until she is ready to give birth to her baby.

"Women are financially independent nowadays. The same goes with me and my husband. I am a workaholic. Except during my confinement period, I intend to continue working," she said.

Asked if there were any differences between the second pregnancy and the first with daughter Krystal, Shirley said that she was easily tired and experienced a lot of nausea and dizziness in the first trimester of her second pregnancy.

As to what Krystal thinks about becoming a big sister, the actress said, "She was very excited. She would touch my belly every night and [talk to the baby]."

In the topic of future baby plans, Shirley said that she will focus on taking care of two children first before thinking about adding another.

However, Shirley declined to reveal any details about the expected date of delivery, adding that she has yet to decide on where to give birth to her second child.
