18 Aug – Sherman Chung recently admitted that she had been cheated out of her money over a business investment that she started with a friend.
As reported on Skypost, the singer who spoke about the issue on her official Facebook account recently, stated that she previously talked about it on her private social media account and did not expect that the post would be screenshot and published by the media, making the incident a bigger deal that it was.
In her said clarification, Sherman reminded the public to always have an official contract and agreement when going into a joint venture, rather than trusting others just because one thinks one knows them.
"Money is never important. It's the betrayal that hurts the most," she said.
Sherman also dismissed reports saying that she had lost a six-figure amount, as it was actually five figures. The singer stated that she previously sent a legal letter to the other party, but did not receive a satisfactory response - which is why she sought advice on her private Facebook account.
As for the identity of the said person, Sherman said that she would not disclose the name, only that she had collected all the evidence and handed it over to a lawyer for further action.
