18 Mar – Shaun Tam recently admitted that he is thankful to be given the opportunity to work with producer Mui Siu Ching right before she decided to retire from TVB.
As reported on Mingpao, the actor, who sat down for an interview to promote the series, "Forensic Heroes IV" recently, shared that Mui had seeked out for him to star in the series after seeing his performance in the 2018 period drama, "Succession War".
"I was very thankful that she gave me this opportunity. But initially, there were voices in my head saying that I should not do it, this fear that I would taint her [perfect record]," he said.
However, Shaun can now breathe a sigh of relief that the drama did very well in its viewership ratings.
Speaking about the drama, the actor admitted that "Forensic Heroes IV" was one of the most challenging dramas he has ever done despite its modern setting.
"Since this is the fourth instalment and her last project, she wanted to add many new elements including different styles of cinematography. Doing the aerial shoots were the hardest. We spent a lot of time shooting. She also wanted it to look like an American TV series, so there were many episodes that we had to shoot in a short time. It was tougher than making a movie, but I am very happy with the result," he enthused.
