Shaun Tam not pressured to play Justice Pao

11 Dec – 23 years after his own father played Bao Zheng in the TVB drama, "Justice Pao", it was revealed that son Shaun Tam will also be playing the same character in the upcoming TVB drama, "Justice Pao: The First Year".

As reported on Mingpao, the actor who appeared at the costume fitting session for the upcoming period drama, laughed when asked if he is pressured to perform the role knowing full well his father did so in the past.

"There are other people who have a more stressful job than me," he said.

Shaun said he is thankful to his father for raising him to be someone who appreciates literature and the arts, and teaching him to be a responsible actor.

When asked if he is interested to work with Ti Lung in a drama, Shaun said he previously had the fortune to work with his father in the Malaysian production of "The Kid from the Big Apple", although it might be their last ever cooperation.

"I think my father is nearing his retirement. He is already 70," he said.

Shaun will be working with stars like Raymond Cho, Nancy Wu, Elaine Yiu, and Owen Cheung in the upcoming drama, to be filmed next year.
