Seth Rogen, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Anthony Mackie Take Our Holiday Food Taste Test
What’s a Christmas celebration without a big bowl of oyster stew?
The stars of the year’s most raunchy holiday film, The Night Before, paid a visit to Yahoo Movies’ studio this week to taste test some traditional celebratory fare. The film stars Seth Rogen, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Anthony Mackie as lifelong best friends spend Christmas Eve running through New York City, looking for the ultimate party. As they made their way through New York to promote the film, the trio agreed to put their taste buds on the line and sample some of the dishes your grandmother probably made you eat during family dinners — and the results were, as expected, quite funny. Rogen was none too pleased with the latke he was served, which he said paled in comparison to the fried potato pancakes that his mother used to make. Mackie, though, had no reference point — it was his first latke, ever. He also said that he had never tried carrot kugel — until he realized it was the same thing as bread pudding. Cultures really aren’t all that different!
As for the rest of the food, you’ll have to watch the video to find out what they liked and hated. But maybe you can guess how they felt about the oyster stew.
