Seth Meyers Mocks Sean Hannity for Obsession Over Trump Dossier (Video)

Seth Meyer dedicated Thursday’s “A Closer Look” segment to examining Donald Trump’s obsession with loyalty, concluding that while the president loves to receive it, he’s far less likely to dish it out.

Meyers used Attorney General Jeff Sessions as an example, highlighting Trump’s recent comments in The New York Times. “Sessions should have never recused himself,” the president said in the NYT interview. “And if he was going to recuse himself, he should have told me before he took the job and I would have picked somebody else.”

“This whole thing should be a cautionary tale for Republicans deciding whether or not to stand with Trump on issues like health care or Russia,” Meyers said. “Because while Trump may demand loyalty for himself, he very rarely returns it.”

Meyers did point out one person very loyal to Trump: Sean Hannity. Meyers didn’t want to bring up the Trump dossier, so let Hannity do it for him. “It doesn’t seem fair to sit here and list off unverified claims. But I can let Trump lapdog Sean Hannity tell you, because he can’t seem to stop talking about it,” Meyers said, followed by several clips of Hannity asking his audience whether they remember the claims in the dossier about urinating prostitutes.

“Yeah… we remember,” Meyers said.

Meyers ended the conversation with a question for Hannity. “Sean, are you mad about the rumors, or are you mad you weren’t invited? Sorry, I shouldn’t say mad. Pissed?”
