Serena Williams Just Posted a Rare Bikini Photo and She Literally Has Abs of Steel

From Country Living

Sure, all of those hours dedicated to tennis have afforded Serena Williams countless Grand Slam singles titles and four Olympic gold medals — but they’ve also helped her achieve abs of steel, and she’s not afraid to show them off.

Over the weekend, Serena posted a boomerang of herself dancing in a patterned blue bikini on a yacht with her sister, Venus Williams. “Yacht got time?” she captioned the post. Other than the breathtaking tropical scenery, the boomerang’s main attraction was Serena’s seriously impressive six pack.

Her followers obviously noticed and flooded the comments. “Omg abs” one person wrote. “Oh them ab muscles coming back! #AO2020” another added. Fellow professional tennis player Caroline Wozniacki also chimed in with “that six pack!! 🔥🔥🔥.”

This isn’t the only recent bikini photo Serena has blessed the internet with. She also put a photo up the day before of herself on vacation, showing off her strong body front and back. Supermodel Gigi Hadid weighed in on that one with a simple “Yes.”

In addition to her intense training, 38-year-old Serena — who gave birth to her daughter Olympia just two years ago — has other healthy habits to thank for those rock-hard abs. One of her secrets? She loves to make healthy dishes at home. “Everyone loves my roasted chicken with garlic; for a minute, it was my turkey tacos. Now it’s vegan sushi. I just love to cook!” she told Bon Appetit.

She also said her fridge is packed with healthy options, like coconut water, tons of vegetables, wheat grass, and flavor MVPs like mint and ginger.

Beyond tennis, Serena is all about mixing up her workouts. “I ran, and then I biked. Then I did elliptical. That didn’t work out so well, because it was boring, so I tried yoga. Now I run for 10 minutes, and then I dance,” she told Fitness Magazine.

But despite how incredible she looks, even Serena has admitted to suffering from issues with body confidence. “There was a time when I didn’t feel incredibly comfortable about my body because I felt like I was too strong, then I had to take a second and think, ‘well, who says I’m too strong?’” she said in a special for ESPN, The Undefeated In-Depth: Serena With Common.

But she’s grown to appreciate her strength, and all that comes with it. “This body has enabled me to be the greatest player that I can be.”
