3 Mar – Although they have both left TVB, Selena Lee recently stated that she would love to work with veteran actor Lau Kong again in the future.
As reported on Mingpao, the actress who collaborated with the veteran actor in the hit TVB series, "Barrack O'Karma", stated that she hopes that Lau will also return to the sequel if plans for the project materialises.
"He is a senior that I respect very much. Prior to the series, we also worked together in "The Herbalist's Manual" [in 2005]," she said.
Selena stated that the 73-year-old actor found out that she didn't know how to use chopsticks while filming a meal scene during their collaboration at the time, and instantly taught her how to do it.
"He said that as a young lady, there is no reason for me not to know how to use it. I am very grateful for his willingness to teach me," she said.
It was back in January this year that Lau told the media that he is departing from TVB. In a later interview, he admitted that he decided to do so after the new contract stipulated that both his salary and show appearances would be decreased.
When asked if she thinks that TVB doesn't know how to appreciate good talents, Selena responded, "Each actor have their own plans at some point in their career."
