See the Absurd Array of Fast Cars Lined Up for 'Fast 8'

The folks behind next year’s auto-orgy sequel Fast 8 continue to rev up the behind-the-scenes access, today transmitting via Facebook Live a hosted tour of the car garage guided by film’s vehicle coordinator, Dennis McCarthy (watch above).

“What we’re doing here today is setting up what we refer to as the Automotive Valhalla,” McCarthy says. “It’s basically what I feel is probably the coolest cars we’ve put together for one scene, and it’s without a doubt the most expensive collection of vehicles we ever put in one place.” McCarthy later does the math and estimates the cars in that garage alone total up to about $17 million.

In a warehouse that could double as the garage of a Richard Branson or Mark Cuban, McCarthy (a veteran coordinator who worked on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Captain America: Civil War this year alone) shows off a 1929 Ford Rat Rod, McLaren 675LT, Twin Turbo Lamborghini, Ferrari F430, Rolls-Royce Wraith, 1956 Chevy Bel-Air, and a Nissan IDx, which is valued at over $2 million alone.

And if those sexy cars aren’t enough to look at, a pair of the film’s stars — Michelle Rodriguez and Ludacris — cameo in the tour, too.

Fast 8 opens April 14, 2017.
