'Slaughterhouse Rulez': Simon Pegg and Nick Frost reteam in first trailer

We’ve previously seen Simon Pegg and Nick Frost team-up for one uniquely British horror-comedy, Edgar Wright’s Shaun of the Dead, but it looks like the pair are about to face off against a whole army of drooling monsters in a very different area of the UK.

That’s because Pegg and Frost have gone back to school for the first Slaughterhouse Rulez trailer.

The pair have reunited for the upcoming horror comedy from director / ex-Kula Shaker frontman Crispian Mills, and you can watch the first trailer above.

Slaughterhouse Rulez takes place at a posh British boarding school turned into a violent battleground after a sinkhole appears at a nearby fracking site and opens a gateway to Hell.

With Simon Pegg’s teacher Meredith Houseman seemingly a bit of a cricket fan, we wonder if the film will see him pick up a Shaun-style weapon, wielding a cricket bat during the fight against the horrible beasts that are running riot throughout the trailer.

The film looks like an unholy alliance between Attack The Block (which also featured Frost) and the St Trinians remake, so Slaughterhouse Rulez could very much go either way.

But, with a cast that includes Pegg, Frost and the brilliant Michael Sheen, we’re more than willing to see if it’ll go straight to the top of the class, or be stuck in movie detention, when the film’s released in the UK on October 31st.
