In the weeks following Meghan Markle's engagement to Prince Harry, we've speculated on everything from which flowers will fill her bouquet to what food could be served at the reception. But there's no detail we're more excited to see than Markle's wedding dress.

In the past, she's expressed interest in "classic and simple" designs. "I personally prefer wedding dresses that are whimsical or subtly romantic," she told Glamour back in March of 2016, before she and Harry had even met, and emphasized that Carolyn Bessette Kennedy's simple silk dress by Narciso Rodriguez was her favorite celebritywedding gown of all time.

Given that Prince Harry's fiancée has been married once before, her first wedding dress could provide another clue to her bridal style. Here's a look at the gown she wore at her 2011 wedding to Trevor Engelson:

The strapless style suited her casual beach celebration in Jamaica, but we're anticipating Markle will wear a more formal look at Windsor Castle later this year. When you're marrying into the royal family, it's okay to up the drama.

That said, Cosmopolitan's UK edition pointed out that the gown, with its bejeweled belt, is actually somewhat similar to the dress Duchess Kate wore to her wedding reception back in 2011.

So, perhaps we could see a little Markle sparkle on her gown after all.
