See James Franco Freak Out Felicity Jones in 'True Story' Clip

James Franco shows how creepy he can be in this exclusive clip from the forthcoming crime drama True Story.

Based on actual events, Franco plays accused killer Christian Longo, an intelligent and enigmatic guy awaiting trial for killing his wife and three young children.

He gets caught in Mexico using the alias “Michael Finkel” — a disgraced former New York Times writer, played by Jonah Hill, who gets drawn into Longo’s case as he awaits trial.

In the footage above, Longo calls Finkel’s wife (Oscar-nominated Felicity Jones) and slyly reveals how much he knows about her. It’s information he attained during Finkel’s many jail visits as the writer documented Longo’s side of the story for a book (on which the film is based).

Part whodunit (if you can avoid Googling the real outcome), part thriller, True Story also raises provocative ethical questions around journalism in murder cases.

The film hits theaters April 17.
