Bermuda-based carrier BermudAir is making it easier to plan an epic vacation for two by offering complimentary companion tickets for fall getaways.

To take advantage of the promotion, travelers must first book and complete a roundtrip flight by Sept. 11, BermudAir told Travel + Leisure. Passengers who fly by that date will then receive an email from BermudAir welcoming them to book a second flight and bring a companion for free between Sept. 15 and Dec. 15.

Customers can take advantage of the promotion by booking through a travel advisor, as well as with BermudAir, either via the website or app.

"This promotion is a fantastic way for travelers to experience the unparalleled service and value BermudAir provides,” Adam Scott, the founder and CEO of BermudAir, said in a statement shared with T+L. “It’s a great opportunity for travel advisors to offer clients an unforgettable Fall getaway to Bermuda.”

To be eligible for the promotion, both the fare-paying passenger and the free companion must fly together. The airline noted taxes and fees still apply to companion tickets.

BermudAir first launched last year with plans of operating an all-business class airline, but decided to make economy seats permanent just a couple months later. The airline now operates a fleet of Embraer E175 aircraft and offers perks like complimentary onboard Wi-Fi and signature Bermuda cocktails like the Dark ‘n Stormy.

The airline flies to Bermuda from several popular airports in the United States, including Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI), Boston Logan International Airport (BOS), Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL), Orlando International Airport (MCO), and New York’s Westchester County Airport (HPN). The airline also flies to both Toronto and Halifax in Canada.

BermudAir isn’t the only airline to offer a free companion ticket. Southwest Airlines famously offers its own Companion Pass, which allows holders to designate one companion to fly with them nearly for free by simply paying taxes and fees for each flight. Travelers can typically earn the airline’s Companion Pass by either flying 100 qualifying one-way flights or earning 135,000 qualifying points in a calendar year.
