Singapore viewers eyeing the Korean drama remake of the 2001 box-office hit “My Sassy Girl” will be able to catch the premiere on 29 May at the same time it airs in South Korea.

The K-drama will be broadcast every Monday and Tuesday at 9pm in Singapore, via ONE, through Singtel TV Channels 513 and 604, and StarHub TV Channels 124, 820 and 823. Viu will also broadcast the drama on the same days at 10pm for its Viu Premium users.

The 2017 reboot of “My Sassy Girl” is based on the original story, but will be set in the Joseon dynasty instead of modern-day South Korea. It features Oh Yeon-seo, who previously starred opposite Rain in 2016’s “Please Come Back Mister”, as Princess Hye-myung, the titular “Sassy Girl”.

The drama also stars Joo Won, who was recently revealed to be dating pop star BoA, as the lead male character Gyun-woo. “My Sassy Girl” is the 29-year-old actor’s final drama before his military enlistment.

The 2001 film starred Cha Tae-hyun and Jeon Ji-hyun, and is the high-grossing Korean comedy film of all time.
