Sarah Suhairi ensures no controversy for family's sake
30 Jun – There is a reason why Sarah Suhairi is spick and span from any negative rumours, and that is because she cares too much about upholding her family's good name.
The 21 year-old singer, who made a name for herself through the reality singing competition, "Big Stage", stated that her mother was originally against her decision to become an artiste, seeing that she is the eldest daughter and has a responsibility towards her siblings.
"As much as I can, I don't want to disappoint my family and that's why I do my best to uphold the family's good name... because whatever we do will affect the family as well," she said.
She added that she had even prepared herself both physically and mentally upon making her debut, ensuring that she will be able to cope with whatever challenges coming her way.
When asked of her opinion about other newcomers who seemed to invite controversies into their lives, Sarah stated that the only thing she could do is to make it as a lesson for herself.
"When I look at my fellow colleagues who have experienced backlash, especially during this pandemic where everything that an artiste does is being observed, we have to think twice before uploading anything online. The lesson I learned is not to do anything that will trigger anger against me. If possible, I want to go all clean," she added.
On the other hand, Sarah recently released her new single, "Andaian", which is also the original soundtrack for the TV3 drama, "Hatimu Sedingin Salju". The song was composed by Sharon Paul with lyrics by Shah Shamsiri.
