Sarah Jessica Parker Is a Jewelry Designer Now
Already a designer of shoes, clothes, and handbags, Sarah Jessica Parker can now call herself a jewelry designer. But she’s not getting involved with just any type of bauble. It’s diamonds for SJP and only the top-tier rocks will make it into her pieces.
Sarah Jessica has partnered with London-based fine jeweler Kat Florence to launch the Flawless Diamonds Collection, which will solely use D-grade stones (that’s the highest quality, clearest gems, for those of you scratching your heads). The capsule is available online today, with four “chapters” of designs starting at $1,600 a pop. According to Women’s Wear Daily, SJP gets 10 percent of sales - a pretty sweet deal.
Each piece in the collection, which will expand throughout the year and eventually include 120 different designs, has a thoughtful origin. “Kat Florence allows for an intimate way to wear jewelry - Kat can tell you about every piece, what it means to her and why she chose a particular technique,” SJP said in a statement.
And luckily enough for Sarah Jessica, she got to wear many of the designs while modeling the collection for photographer Peter Lindbergh. The moody black-and-white pictures show off just how ~sparkly~ these D class diamonds (only one in a million get classified with this grade) can be. Feast your eyes!
