Sarah Ferguson, popularly known as Fergie, has revealed she’s undergone cosmetic surgery treatment including Botox and two face lifts.

The Duchess of York will turn 60 on Tuesday next week, yet her youthful complexion defies her years. Now, she has revealed the cosmetic “tweaks” she has had to maintain her appearance.

Asked about her glowing skin at daughter Princess Eugenie’s wedding in October last year, the Duchess said: “Above all, it was being joyful for Eugenie that made me look good.

“But I’d had some laser treatment on my face which helped, too.”

Despite experimenting with Botox in the past, she admits she’s no longer a fan. “I had Botox a long time ago when there was nothing else available,” Fergie told Mail Online in an interview.

“I really don’t like the frozen look. I’m so animated and I like to be myself. I don’t like the thought of needles and am very glad if I look well and happy.”

The interview, which also featured Fergie’s go-to aesthetic doctor, Dr Gabriela Mercik, details the two types of face lift Ferguson has undergone: A non-invasive laser face lift and a minimally-invasive “thread lift”.

“It’s like garden trellising for sweat peas. You insert the threads under the skin with a fine needle and they hold everything up,” said Fergie, of the thread lift treatment she had on Dr Mercik’s suggestion in 2014.

Fergie is not the only high profile figure to speak openly about using cosmetic treatments.

Olivia Colman has had Botox, telling telling The Times in 2015. “I have done Botox and I LOVED it.”

Supermodel Cindy Crawford has also said she is a fan of the procedure.

“I’m not going to lie to myself, past a certain age, creams work on the texture of your skin but, in order to restore elasticity, all I can really count on is vitamin injections, botox, and collagen,” Crawford told InStyle.
