Sarah, Duchess of York has candidly discussed the cosmetic procedures she's undergone in recent years.
Sarah Ferguson, who is mum to Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, turns 60 next week and she's marking the milestone with a little cosmetic surgery honesty, explaining she has needed a little help to look good in recent years.
"I've started the laser treatment, but it's not finished yet," she told Mail Online. "The collagen needs to rebuild. I hope it will all be done by my birthday."
However, Sarah insisted that she hasn't had any major cosmetic surgery, adding, "I don't like the frozen look. I'm so animated and I like to be myself. I don't like the thought of needles and am very glad if I look well and happy. I'm really happy to be open about what I've had done.
"I need to repair the damage that was done on the beach when I was a child. It's why I had the mesotherapy, the vitamin cocktail to hydrate and boost the skin."
The redhead, who was married to Prince Andrew from 1986 until 1996, also revealed that she underwent a facial thread lift six years ago. The procedure involves the use of temporary sutures to produce a subtle but visible lift in the skin.
"Instead of removing the patient's loose facial skin surgically, the cosmetic surgeon simply suspends it by stitching up portions of it," the 59-year-old explained. "It's like garden trellising for sweet peas. You insert the threads under the skin with a fine needle and they hold everything up. They also encourage collagen production. It takes a couple of months, then the sweet peas bloom! Before I had it done I thought, 'Oh, this is going to be painful', but it wasn't bad. My skin responded well."
