Sandra Ng elated over Best Actress nomination
4 Oct - Sandra Ng couldn't help but express elation over news that she has been nominated in the Best Actress category at the upcoming Golden Horse Awards.
The actress, who was asked about her nomination following the announcement, admitted that she burst into tears after finding out about it.
"It's been 21 years since I won Best Actress for 'Golden Chicken' and now I am shortlisted again for the Golden Horse Awards. I am so excited that I feel like I am having a heart attack. I am so grateful," she enthused.
She also stated that she will definitely attend the awards ceremony.
Sandra is being nominated for her performance as the lonely woman entangled in a love scam in "Love Lies". She is set to compete with Sylvia Chang ("Daughter's Daughter"), Chung Suet Ying ("The Way We Talk"), Kimi Hsia ("Yen and Ai Lee") and Patra Au ("All Shall Be Well").
The film's director, Ho Miu Ki is also nominated for the Best New Director category.
