Warner Bros owes Sandra Bullock a Demolition Man pinball machine.
That’s according to the actress who claims that after appearing in the 1993 sci-fi film with Sylvester Stallone, Wesley Snipes, and Benjamin Bratt she was the only one not to be gifted one.
The issue came up when Yahoo Movies spoke to the Ocean’s 8 star, along with Cate Blanchett, and the subject of action figures came up.
“You’ve been turned into an action figure?” Cate asked to which Sandra replied, “I’m on the pinball machine, all the men in the film got one and I’m the only one that didn’t get one. What do we think…”
“What movie was this for?” Cate responded.
“Demolition Man,” Sandra said. “So I literally shout out to Warner Bros that I want a vintage Demolition Man pinball machine.”
Given the success so far for Ocean’s 8, the studio may be willing to accept Bullock’s demand as well as Blanchett’s one for a pinball machine dedicated to their new movie.
The Ocean’s 13 sequel has managed to take home the biggest opening weekend box office of the franchise, making an estimated total of $41.5m from its first three days in US cinemas.
Despite its success, both Blanchett and Bullock are wary of celebrating too soon given the enormous pressure on female-led movies to succeed.
“When it does well it takes some pressure off but I still feel it because I feel the journey is never finished,” Sandra said. “I feel like we have to outperform and outnumber in order to be taken relatively seriously.”
” You’ve always got to punch about your weight so to speak but I think people might go expecting but it’s not a remake,” Cate continued. “You’ve got the imprimatur of the Ocean’s film and you have got women pulling off a heist but that’s kind of the point of departure, it’s a very different atmosphere.”
Ocean’s 8 is in cinemas from Monday, June 18
