Samuel L Jackson's Nick Fury Rumoured To Return In Thor: Ragnarok

Mark Ruffalo might not be the only Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) regular to show up alongside Chris Hemsworth in 2017’s ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ - Samuel L Jackson’s Nick Fury may appear as well.

This news comes as Australian sound-stages prepare for filming to start on the God of Thunder’s sequel, and as King Kong reboot 'Skull Island’s production comes to a close.

What ties the two productions together is British actor Tom Hiddleston, who stars in Jordan Vogt-Roberts’ adventure and is confirmed to reprise his role as Loki in 'Ragnarok’ for director Taika Waititi.

Aussie news outlet Gold Coast Bulletin says Jackson - who also has a role in 'Skull Island’ - is “tipped” to stick around with Hiddleston for an appearance in the 'Thor’ threequel.

'Thor: Ragnarok’ is going all out - bringing in Ruffalo’s Hulk for what is being described as a “road trip movie with superheroes” and Oscar-winner Cate Blanchett in a villainous role believed to that of Hela, or Death.

The sub-title 'Ragnarok’ is a term from Norse mythology that refers to a series of events, and a great battle, that results in the death of multiple major figures in said mythology - including Chris Hemsworth’s Thor, Hiddleston’s Loki and Anthony Hopkins’ Odin.

Thor’s next outing is set for release on 27 October 2017, following the releases of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2′ that April and Sony and Marvel’s rebooted ‘Spider-Man’ in July.
