Fans in Singapore who have been wowed by the newly revealed Samsung Galaxy S10 smartphones can pre-order the devices from 12pm on Friday (22 February).

In one of the biggest shake-ups to its product line in years, Samsung unveiled a foldable smartphone together with its new flagship Galaxy S10 phones on Wednesday.

The Galaxy S10 series has three phones: the S10, with a 6.1-inch screen; the S10 Plus, with a 6.4-inch screen; and a more budget-friendly model dubbed S10e, with a 5.8-inch screen. New features compared to the S9 include an in-screen fingerprint scanner, a rear triple-camera setup, in-display hole punch cameras, and reverse wireless charging.

Only the S10 and the S10 Plus will be available for pre-orders, however; the S10e is not available for pre-orders.

The Galaxy S10, which only comes in a 128GB storage capacity, has a retail price of S$1,298.

The Galaxy S10 Plus will retail at S$1,398 (128GB), S$1,798 (512GB) and S$2,198 (1TB).

The S10e, with a capacity of 128GB, is priced at S$1,078.

The flagship phones will start selling in Singapore on 8 March, together with the new Galaxy Watch Active and Galaxy Watches. The new wireless earphones, the Galaxy Buds, will start selling on 30 March.

However, customers who pre-order the Galaxy S10s will be able to collect them on 5 March, three days ahead of the official launch of sales.

Those who make pre-orders will also get a complimentary promotional bundle (worth $386), which includes the Wireless Charger Duo Pad with Wall Charger in White (worth $148) and the Galaxy Buds in White (worth $238), upon full payment of their pre-order.

Customers can register their interest for the Galaxy S10 and S10+ with telco operators, or place their pre-order for the new devices through the following avenues:

• Telco operators’s websites (M1, Singtel, StarHub)
Samsung Store Online/ Samsung Experience Stores/ Galaxy Studio
• Websites of selected Consumer Electronics & IT Stores and Lazada Singapore

The electronics stores which handle the pre-orders are Best Denki, Courts, Gain City, Hachi and Harvey Norman.

Customers may choose to trade in eligible old Samsung devices from 5 March to 31 March to offset the cost of their S10 purchases.

The Galaxy S10e, S10 and S10 Plus (128GB) are available in Prism White, Prism Black and Prism Green. The Galaxy S10 Plus (512GB and 1TB) are available in Ceramic White and Ceramic Black.

The game-changing Galaxy Fold has a flexible composite polymer screen and a hinge system that allow the phone to be unfolded into a larger tablet-style device. It is the first such foldable device by a major smartphone maker. The Fold also allows one to multitask on up to three apps at a time on the same screen. There is an external 4.6-inch screen; when unfolded, the larger screen is 7.3-inch.

The Galaxy Fold will be released to markets beginning from 26 April 2019 with an expected price of US$1,980. It will be launched in Singapore sometime in the second quarter of 2019.
