Samsung showcases works by local digital artists in Raffles City exhibition

The next time you are in Raffles City shopping mall, take a look at the new Samsung digital art exhibition “Joy in everyday art” that will be available for public viewing from today (29 September) until 17 October.

This exhibition features creative works by local photographers, illustrators, artistes and influencers, that were all shot and designed on a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 phone using the stylus (the “S Pen”). Each individual piece displayed is supposed to showcase its contributor’s creativity through the use of the S Pen.

Notable contributors to the exhibition include veteran film producer Daniel Yun, award-winning comic artist Sonny Liew, illustration group Band of Doodlers, celebrity photographer Kevin Ou and influencer Melissa Koh.

“A defining feature of the Samsung Galaxy Note series, the S Pen provides users with new ways to communicate by giving them more creative expression in their daily lives,” said Lee Jui Siang, president of Samsung Electronics Singapore.

There are ten different exhibits located at level one of Raffles City, with all the works being displayed across Samsung’s display screens – Galaxy Tab S3 tablets, The Frame TVs, SMART Signage and Monitors, and of course, Galaxy Note 8 smartphones.
