Sammi Cheng is more mature since husband's scandal

22 Jun – Sammi Cheng recently admitted that she has grown to become more mature in the past 14 months since her husband Andy Hui's cheating scandal with Jacqueline Wong made the news.

As reported on Mingpao, the actress who came out to promote her new movie, stated that she was actually fine when the scandal occurred as she was too busy with preparing for her concert that she didn't have time to think too much about it.

"It was when I stopped being busy that I started to gather my thoughts," she said.

However, Sammi admitted that her life values changed a lot since she strengthened her faith in God and that it really helped her through her troubles.

"It has also changed Andy very much. He has become much more pragmatic and understanding about the meaning of life. As a person close to him, I can definitely feel the strength in him increases, but I think it is also important to ask other people around him about the changes. He has improved all around," she added.

Sammi stated that life is made up of stages and that one fall should not ruin your life.

"Yes, it would be painful to change something in your life, but once you look back, you will find it's worth everything," she said.

Asked if her relationship with her husband has strengthened because of it, the singer stated that she wouldn't dare say how they are now.

"In short, we faced it all together. If you're in a marriage, you have to learn to face and bear the problem together. This is what a relationship or a marriage is," she added.
