Sammi Cheng gets HK Coliseum for summer 2019 concert
15 Nov – Sammi Cheng recently stated that she and Eason Chan had a miscommunication when it came to applying for the Hong Kong Coliseum for their upcoming concert.
As reported on Mingpao, the Cantopop queen, who attended a charity event recently, was asked about Eason's previous jest that she has "snatched" the aforementioned venue for next summer.
She responded, "I think we misunderstood each other. I thought he wanted to hold his show during Christmas time, so I didn't apply for that period. I applied for the summer vacation period, and got approved for July."
Sammi also suggested for Eason to hold his concert on New Year's Day, or to collaborate with Nicholas Tse on a joint performance.
On the other hand, the singer clarified that the upcoming show is not part two of her previous concert, and that she will have a new theme for the said show.
"I am not sure how many shows we're going to do. My biggest record is 16 shows," she said.
Asked if she plans to break that record, Sammi laughed and said, "How can I do that at my age now? I only care about how well the show is. Since the beginning of "Show Mi", the number of shows has been decreasing. Doing too much may not be a good thing."
