Samantha Bernardo not saying no to compete in another pageant

24 May – Just like beauty queens before her, Samantha Bernardo is saying "never say never" when it comes to trying her hands again in another pageant competition.

As reported on Push, Bernardo, who was crowned the first runner-up in the 2020 Miss Grand International pageant in Thailand, stated that she would not close herself with opportunities when it comes to pageants during a virtual conference by Binibining Pilipinas.

"I'm still qualified and I'm still eligible for it, and I feel that it's still going to be worth it, why not?" she said.

However, at the same time, Bernardo also hopes that the public will continue to support her in other things that she can do even if she doesn't continue in pageants.

"I want to make sure that it will still align [with] my purpose and my passion. So let's see and let's hope for the best," she added.

Pageant winners competing in other beauty competitions is nothing new. Prior to winning Miss Universe 2018, Catriona Gray was crowned Miss World-Philippines 2016 and was in the Top 5 at the Miss World pageant. Meanwhile Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach joined Binibining Pilipinas three times before she finally won the Miss Universe-PH crown and ultimately the 2015 Miss Universe crown.
