Sam Milby defends Catriona Gray over false accusations

22 Jul – Sam Milby is saying enough is enough, following several rumours and claims that have been coming his and girlfriend Catriona Gray's way for the past week or so.

As reported on GMA News, amid the speculations surrounding Gray's ex-boyfriend Clint Bondad's cryptic Instagram post and fake topless photos of the beauty queen, the actor took to social media to address the issue, saying that he cannot simply stand by and allow others to continue to relay things that are not theirs to tell.

"Cat and I have chosen to keep our relationship mostly private. It was only until recently that we made an exception, to lend our voices to charitable causes. But that does not mean that there is truth to any of these false stories and fake news that people are creating to fill in the blanks. In fact, these wrongful accusations and defamatory lies are dangerous," he wrote.

Milby added that one's silence does not imply guilt, and that it was their initial choice not to respond to baseless rumours.

He also sang praises for the Miss Universe 2018, saying that Gray has always put other people first and uses her voice and talent to help people in need.

"I will always be there for her and will do everything in my power to protect her," he added.
