12 Jan – Actress Ryza Cenon recently admitted that she looks up to fellow actress Jodi Sta. Maria when it comes to her career.
As reported on PEP, the actress, who has been getting more leading roles in movies lately, including the latest film "Mr. & Mrs. Cruz", shared that she never gave up hope of becoming a lead star after seeing how it turned out for Sta. Maria, who also became a top actress in her 30s.
"I saw her career, and it gave me hope that there's still an opportunity for me. I'm 30 now, so it is a bit late," she said.
When asked if she has any advice for actors who have yet to catch a break, Cenon said, "Do not give up, do not quit, and do not question it. Just do what you can do, and if you have a talent, they will notice it."
On the other hand, when speaking about her decision to leave GMA Artist Center to sign with Viva Artists Agency, Cenon said that it was a risk but a necessary one for her to move forward.
Co-starring JC Santos, "Mr. & Mrs. Cruz" will be released in cinemas on 24 January.
