‘Running Man’ stars attend funeral of late South Korean actor Kim Joo-hyuk

The stars of South Korean hit television shows “Running Man” and “2 Days 1 Night” attended the funeral of the late Kim Joo-hyuk on Tuesday (31 October). The veteran actor died in a car crash a day before at the age of 45.

As seen in video footage posted online, celebrities such as actress Song Ji-hyo and actors Yoo Jae-suk, Lee Kwang Soo, Haha and Kim Jong Kook were spotted walking into the funeral parlour. Some of the celebs had also attended the wedding of Song Joong-ki and Song Hye Kyo that took place on the same day.

According to media reports, Kim was driving a Mercedes-Benz SUV when it flipped and crashed into a building before catching fire. The actor was taken to Konkuk University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Kim died just weeks after his 45th birthday on 3 October, and leaves behind his 27-year-old girlfriend, You-Young Lee. Kim was famous for appearing in shows such as “Lovers in Prague” and “Hur Jun: The Original Story”. He also appears in films “Heung-bu” and “Drug War”, which are set for release next year.
